The problem: silence between "order placed" and "delivered"
WISMO tickets come from gaps: the days between checkout and the first carrier scan, a tracking link that opens a carrier site with a cryptic status, and delays nobody told the customer about. Each gap produces the same ticket, and peak season makes every gap longer.
What it costs
- Support time on a solved question. The answer already exists in Shopify and the carrier; someone still copies it into a reply.
- Customers leave your store. A carrier tracking page sends them off your site, with no products, no brand and no reason to come back.
- Chargebacks. A worried customer with no answer opens a dispute; see delivered but not received.
The 5 fixes, in order
- Promise a date, not "3-5 business days". Separate handling time from transit time; in the US the FTC Mail Order Rule expects a reasonable basis for any shipping time you state (summary).
- Turn on every Shopify shipping notification. Settings → Notifications → Customer notifications: shipping confirmation, shipping update, out for delivery, delivered. Keep "Send shipment details" ticked when fulfilling.
- Give customers a tracking page on your own store. Order number + email in, plain-language status out, linked from the footer and the shipping email. This is where ORDA fits.
- Email delays before customers notice. A short, honest note with a new window beats any reply.
- Escalate the real problems. Lost, damaged or stuck parcels go to a person; log them with a claims portal if you get many.
How ORDA handles step 3
- A branded tracking page that lives on your store, matching your theme, so customers stay on your site.
- Syncs tracking from major carriers (FedEx, UPS and more) and shows real-time status and delivery progress.
- Split shipments shown item by item, the case that confuses customers most.
- Free, per its App Store listing on 28 Oct 2026.

Who should skip it
- If your store gets a handful of orders a week, Shopify's own order status page and notifications are enough.
- If you need SMS updates, delay prediction or carrier exception alerts, a full post-purchase suite does more; ORDA is a tracking page, not a messaging platform.
- Be aware: ORDA launched in February 2026 and had no reviews yet on 28 Oct 2026. It's free, so the risk is a few minutes of setup.
Verdict
Do fixes 1, 2 and 4 today; they cost nothing. For fix 3, ORDA is the lowest-risk tracking page we know of because it is free and keeps customers on your store. Add the link to your footer and shipping email before Black Friday.
